Toilet Bowl: Battle for #1 Pick

I was talkin to Art about this Sunday's Football game aka the "Reggie Bowl" where 2 bad teams (the 49ers and Texans) battle and the loser probably get the #1 pick. Then Art came up with a great idea. And I expanded on it. So here's the idea:
Why should the loser get the #1 Pick?

So why not, during the week off between the Playoffs and the Superbowl, we have the two worst teams play the
TOILET BOWL
THE BATTLE FOR THE #1 PICK!

The Winner gets the #1 Pick. Why Lose to Win #1 pick. They should WIN the #1 pick. Why not?
Well i'm sure there's money and rights and stupid stuff like that. But it makes sense to make a winner earn that right.

That's my 2 Cents.

The Week Is Over! whew

This has definately been a hard week for me. With the death of my Grandfather and the closure of Hollister (work) and now Quyen is leaving the company, it seems to just pile on. Plus Christmas is in 2 days and I have NOT even started. Just too much stuff going on.
The Move went well. no problems on my side. and they are working well. I haven't heard any major problems either so that is really good to hear. Just minor minor things. But that took up alot of my time to get done
The Funeral was very nice. Uncle Jay did a wonderful job at the funeral. My dad gave a great Uligy. My grandmother is still in shock and we expect her to be that way for a while. Taylor was cute as a button. Of course it was her who made me cry, twice. She went up with her mom (Wendy) and wendy said "Do you remember what I said about him going to Heaven?" I lost it there. How can Taylor understand what is happening? But she is so smart I would not doubt if she does understand. The 2nd time was after the funeral for the final viewing. Taylor started saying "Great-Grandpa" and pointing at the casket. This was the first time I had heard her say "Great Grandpa" like she acknowledge his existance by his name, yet at the same time the last time she will be able to use it in his presence. Oh how happy Great Grandpa would be to hear Taylor say it. to know that he was part of her young vocabulary.
And now Quyen is leaving work. she's so dear to me and means so much to me. Her friendship is so important to me. and now she's going to leave. I will make every effort to communicate with her. But it will be different since she is not going to be the person I see every morning. For a while she was the reason I would come to work. Her friendship keeps me going. I'm going to miss her, but I know she's going to enjoy her new job. and shes going to be closer to Kayla's school and that will make her commute easier and be more helpful to Kayla. All the reasons are correct, but it will be sad to see her go.
And now it is Christmas. Lots of sad things happening this Christmas, which sucks. But having taylor around is eternal happiness. because nothing stops her from laughing and surprising us or impressing us with the things she does. she is amazing. So Christmas will continue. Just for her. she is a focal point of happiness during some tough times.

Merry Christmas everyone! And Happy Holidays!

My Grandpa - James Pon (1916-2005)

I havent written much this week. Its been a hard week. My grandfather passed away last friday. He was 86 years old. But he was young at heart. I am going to miss him because he was always fun to talk to.
My Grandfather was the ultimate San Francisco 49er fan. He started it all many years ago. He had season tickets to the 49ers when they were in Kezar Stadium. Then when the moved to Candlestick Park, my Grandfather followed them, buying the season tickets every year. It is a tradition that is followed by my father and will be followed by me.
The most recent memory was taking my grandfather to see a WWE Event. Yeah that's right, Wrestling. turns out he is a big fan of wrestling. So the 3 generations went, Grandpa, Dad and me. It was a great show too. Grandpa enjoyed it alot. I'll never forget it.
Many years ago, Grandpa would visit us during the weekends for 49er games. but that wasn't the only thing. It was time for TOYS R US! We would go to Toys R Us and he'd buy me the latest Transformer. Yeah he spoiled me good.
Anyways his funeral is coming up on Wednesday and I guess it hasn't hit me yet. However when I get there and see Grandma, and see my Aunt and Uncle and cousins. And when the chair that Grandpa always sits in, he won't be there. Then I'll know he's not coming back. I'll miss my Grandpa.

Fantasy Football Playoffs

BOOYA! So you think your good? I'm good. I'm in the Fantasy Football Playoffs. I made it. My record is 9W-5L-0T. Good for first place. The only problem is that there are 2 other teams 9-5-0 so we have a 3 way tie. Then there are 3 teams 8-6-0. So 6 teams were all jammed up and could have been in. The top 4 teams go in. Then we were placed by how many points we have. I ended up in 3rd place. I was leading in points once, but the last few weeks my WR struggled so I didn't get too many points.

I'd like to take a moment to thank Vick007 for trading me Shaun Alexander. Without Shaun I wouldn't have made it to the final four. Thank You! Oh too bad you didn't make it to the Final Four...

For my first play off game, I have a very favorable schedule: Alexander, Hasselback and Seattle Def vs Tennessee who is struggling. Steve Smith and John Kasey vs New Orleans, who is just displaced. Other favoribles vs KC, and vs Oak. Tough vs Dal, TB, Buf, and Car. so those guys will sit.

One game at a time, but getting past this week, the final week will be tough because my Seattle players are playing Indy. ouch. hopefully Seattle will have everything wrapped up and this won't have that much of a meaning. QB Brady is hurt so that could be bad, but he'll play to win the division.

Till next week. I gotta play this week first! Win and be 1st or 2nd, lose and be 3rd or 4th...

Snow snow snowboarding

Well we hit the snow for the first time this year. And I'm sore. I guess I shouldn't have done it with a cold, but I had to. Since our original weekend was all messed up :(

So we went up on Saturday. it was warm. The sun was out but the snow was there. so we boarded. It was good. Not too much because I had to get into the rythem and such.

That night, my cold caught up with me, and walking in the cold killed my energy. We went to this steak-ish resturant. We had a pizza and it was good. I couldn't take the cold so I went back to the room and changed. I found the sharks game and watched them win! yay!

The next day I had more energy in the morning so we boarded for a few hours. Then a few hours later, I just got extremely tired. Then we went to the Casinos for food. There was seafood buffet that Matt and Jasmine wanted to go to, however it was closed, so we went to the Forest Cafe which was pretty good. M & J said it wasn't that good the first time, but this time it was much better.

I got home at 12:30 and tiredly unpacked and took a GREAT shower. (down with motel showers).

THat was my weekend.

Comic book movies

Lo and Behold,
The X-Men 3 Trailer is out (Look on the right under "My Digg Stories"). I thought it looks really good. It kinda shows how the X-Men mourn over Jean's death. Then she comes back to life, and she looks like... well a dead person risen.

Not only that, Superman Returns Trailer is out, that came out a while ago. It is a little short, but looks good.

The Bloodrayne Trailer is out also, starring Kristiana Loken (T3, Mortal Kombat tv series) She looks HOT HOT HOT. Though I like her as a red head more. However I didn't really notice what the movie was until it was over so I'll need to see a replay soon.

DVDs
Sin City Uncut is coming out next week. Wanna check that out.

Fantastic Four came out this last weekend. It was pretty good, though there was alot of "Family Squabling" as others have said.
On the F4 DVD was an "Inside scoop" for X3 which only intriged my curiosity.

Also an "Ultimate Avengers" movie (anime) is coming out in Feb 2006, with Capt America, Iron Man, Giant Man, Thor, and Hulk on the team.

Other DVDs: Batman Season 4, when they messed up the designs of all the characters. They all look dumb except Batman. Thundercats Season 1 Volume 2 is also out. These immediately got Netflix'd :)

That's all for now, time to hit the slopes. I'll see you at the bottom of the hill.
