SF Giants Eliminated from Postseason

Yesterday, the Giants were finally eliminated from Post season play. In away, it's finally better because this team limped its way through the year. Having ups and downs over and over. But now the season is done. GM Brian Sabean needs to make over this team. There were just too many old people. So let me take a look at what I would do if I were Brian Sabean.
1) Barry Bonds or Mosis Alou. But you can't have both. The outfield is filled with old guys. Finley, and Sweeny will be gone. The competition will be with Linden, Ellison, and others. But you can't have Winn running around covering both alleys while the two old guys hobble along. If you want production, you keep Alou. But we want the Home Run Record, so it's Bonds. Sure the Giants will fall off 1 more year, but it's a rebuilding year.
2) Infield: I think Feliz is gone. He just isn't the hitter Baker thought he was. I think moving him around killed his groove. Durham is gone, he's still one hamstring pull from being out for the year. Vizquel has 1 or 2 more good years. Firstbase is a toss up. Hillibrand is there, but if Feliz is gone, it might be good to move him to 3rd, and find a 1B. Catching is Solid, with AlfonZo and Matheny.
3) Starting Pitching. I think Shmidt is gone back to Seattle (and too much money). So Matt Caine, and Noah Lowery become the top two. Hennesy and Morris and someone for #5 starter. Morris really was a disappointment. He was going to be the man, but he didn't make it. It is definately the downside of his career. They want Jonothan Sanchaz to be the next Starter. He looked good the first time and followed up with 2 bad performances.
4) Bullpen: Good bye BENITEZ thank God, go home go away go somewhere other than here. The Giants need a closer. I think the setup men are fairly average. But I also think Manager Alou uses them too much and wears them down.
5) Speaking of the manager. I dont' know what they will do with Felipe Alou. This will be a hard decision. I respect him, but he's old and will have alot of young players next year. Going from a Veterans team to a youth team might be hard for him to do.

Free Agents: I say Alfonso Soriano. He's perfect to replace Bonds as the Superstar. If he wants to play second, let him compete with Franzden. Or if Bonds is gone, put him in LF.

Trade: The other option is to trade. And the first person that comes to mind is Miguel Tejada. He loves the Bay Area (from the A's) and he wants out of Baltimore. Trade Visquel to Baltimore and get the Superstar that you need.

It will be an interesting offseason. I think the Giants will do something to keep the stadium packed for the Allstar game. So I believe Sabean will get the 1 superstar to back up Bonds. Bonds will break the record and retire the next day.

Let the Rebuilding BEGIN!!!

BK Stacker = small circle area

I went to Burger king and tried the BK Stacker, Double. This was 2 patties, where the triple was 3 patties, etc.
When I got the burger I looked at it. I looked at the display. looked at the burger again... "This burger is SMALL!" the circle area (viewing from top) is really small. I guess if you order a triple or quadruple it would be taller. The display makes it look big, like a whopper, or even slightly smaller than a whopper, but this was about 2/3s to 5/8s of a whopper circle area.
Taste was ok, the cheese has a flavor in it. But nothing too special.

I don't think I would get it again. Compared to the Ultimate Chesse Burger from Jack in the Box, this burger is smaller with about the same taste except no mayo or mustard.

2 out of 5 buns.

Gold Rush Calendar Signing for $49; Screw you York.

The Gold Rush announced their Cheerleader Calendar Party this year. But this year it will cost you $49 to get into the door, rather than the $25/person in 2005, and the Free admission and $15 per calendar OR 2 for $25 in 2004. This year the event will be in San Francisco, much like last year. One more difference, last two years it was on a Saturday. This year, it's on Thursday. A Thursday!?!?!?!?

What are they trying to do? drive away the 49er fans? Stupid. Granted last year they underestimated how many people will come to this event. So, I would have gotton a bigger place, or limited the tickets. This event is for the fans, and contribution to the Cheerleaders, because they aren't on a payroll, it's all volenteer work.

This year they overestimate how many people will come. $49 is a huge chunk of change compared to the last two years. You get a calendar, magazine, complimentry drink and appetizers. But now it looks like it's about "making money", rather than "being friendly with the fans." Sends a bad vibe, and I'm sure people won't go because of the price. Being in SF isn't the worst part, but making it a Thursday evening? That will prevent many fans from coming since it's a workday.

There will be 40 Gold Rush Cheerleaders. Alot of girls dancing! Alot of changes in the team from last year too. But of course they are the better to watch than the SF Yorkees.

Thanks alot York. You are destroying the one last good thing... The Gold Rush.

UPDATE:
For some reason I looked back at the information. It's $49 to get into the door and meet the cheerleaders and get autographs. But it's $149 to get a private autograph session with the cheerleaders. Therefore the $49 only gets you to meet, and no garentee of getting them all. Hell, the $149 probably won't do it either. Dammit, this whole thing is F-ed up.
