My long crazy weekend

Victoria and I had our first, kind of, getaway. She had a run in Santa Cruz, and her co-runner, Kristy has a beach house. She invited us to stay there. It was alot of fun going to Santa Cruz. It was a long tiring experience. Friday night we went over to SC. The house was very nice. lots of room for people to stay.

Saturday starts the craziness. I, being a volenteer, had to get to the starting point at 7:30AM. so Hugh, husband of Gabby, one of the runners, decided to come with me. So we set off on the mission of: finding the starting point. We got lost. Fog had hampered our luck. We missed a sign that told us where to go. And when we used the GPS, the written directions had the wrong cross streets and we were lost. It listed Bay Ave and we needed Bay Street. So we pull up, and our runners are already there, wondering why they beat us. We got to our station 1 hour late. There were other people already there so they had their table ready. We set up our table, with trail mix and skittles. Big Hit I must say.
The girls showed up later and then ran off. We waited for a long time for them to come back. but they never did. hmm. turns out there is a trail that by-passes our waterstop, and lots of people missed it, including the girls. how disappointing, but very rough because Victoria ran out of water and needed the waterstop. luckily she was fine.

We were done at about 1PM. The girls decided to cool their legs by going into the ocean. Not your whole body; the temperature difference can stop your heart. just your legs. So the girls (5 of them) go out in to the ocean. the waves are strong and cool. So strong that suddenly, Victoria falls into the ocean. Kristy helps her back up and she is fine. Then I think, I should take a picture!

We headed back to the house, and the girls showered. Of course now its on to the next step. Sharks Hockey. We drove back over to San Jose. We met up with my Co-worker Joe and his wife Paz. And had dinner at Sonoma Chicken, which isn't my favorite restuarnt. Good thing Victoria knew what was good. Finally after 5 meals, I had a good meal there. We walked over to the game, where I explained my theory on the bunnies.
During the 2nd intermission, Victoria decides she needs to go to the bathroom. so she goes. 17 minutes of intermission go by. Game resumes, but no Victoria. I thought she was stopped during the game play. Nope, still nothing. Then next segment goes, still nothing. I look over and there is her purse. I open it, there is her phone. Oh so I can't call her either. At 13 minutes, I decide its time to go down. I can't find her. I went to the left womens room and then to the right; still nothing. I sit there and wonder what to do. Suddenly there is a girl with her head down walking towards me. Its Victoria. She thought we were in 219, not 213. And because she left her purse, she didn't have her phone or ticket. She was completely embarrassed. We watched the rest of the game and then headed home. Poor girl.

Finally home at midnight. time to relax? WRONG! 49ers Football on Sunday. The weekend was just longer and longer. But after an exciting game, it's time for work again on Monday.

Fantasy Football Week 3

ESPN League. Sitting at Candle stick park, I Was tryign to change my lineup, but Matt's Iphone just was not cooperating with me. So I left Ronnie brown in to be my 3rd RB. Good thing. He went NUTS! He scored 4 touchdowns, and threw for one more. I destroyed the opponent 135 to 62. But here I start to worry about Bye weeks. I got some complications coming up and hopefully I can resolve them quickly.

Skrulls: I lost to the 1st place team 92 to 88. I played the wrong defence. And it cost me. Marshall Lynch and Brett farve both got over 20 pts.

WWE Quotes: I lost 90.35 to 90.04. Damn fractional points. I wouldn't do it, but it's not my league. Reggie Bush went nuts for me, 28 pts, but his Micheal Turner had 28 pts. It was all fractions.

Fantasy Football Week 2

i'm late on my Fantasy football week 2. So here it is quickly...
Skrulls: I won, defeating SacTownRadio. He's one of the jerks in the league. I talked hella smack to him this week, because he's full of it. He also didn't play a defense because his was on a bye week (the hurricane). But that's what you get for not paying attention.
Here's some of the smack I told him:
It may be hot in SacTown right now, but your team is cold.
Change the tune to your radio... the Fat Lady is singing.
You don't play D? I won't either.
The Skrulls have invaded SacTown

the WWE Quotes league, I whooped Hooligans. 116 to 82. I beat on Don. it was good. I started calling him, Who? ligans???

in my ESPN league, I went against Eric Chang's team. And he pulled out a victory last minute. the Monday night game gave him the needed points to beat me, 95 to 88. Fustration insued, I should have won.

On to week 3.

Fantasy Football 2008, week 1

Each Week I'm going to try to profile my fantasy Teams tell you what I did, what were my results.

Team 1: Skrulls
This team had alot of luck. With Tom Brady falling to me in pick #8. But who would have predicted that he would tear and ACL and be out for the year. Good thing I have Brett Farve, who is playing with a great competitive spirit.
Somehow, with my best player out, I still won. Why? RBs. Lynch (buf) and Jacobs (NyG) had good weeks. though I have Willie Parker and Earnest Grahm and Justin Fargas (who was on the bubble before breaking out last night) on the bench for good backup.
Week Result: Win
With the brady Injury I picked up Matt Cassel. I think he's going to do well. why? because history says that the backup is ready. Bledsloe to Brady. now Brady to Cassel.
I do have 2 NE players, K Gostkowski and WR Walker. They are dependant on how well Cassel does.

Team 2: Money Money
I faced off with Matt on this team. Matt pulled out a vicotory in the last minute. RB Peterson scored a garbage TD at the end of the game that allowed Matt to win. Fustrated yes. but I'm gonna build on it. Otherwise this team did well.
Week Result: Loss
Not much to change on this team. I have some bench issues, but he main team is intact. LT and RB Grant are studs. Brees: Stud, WR Johnson (Hou), Boldin, Chambers and TE Clark are good.

Team 3: Cheltenham Entertainment
My Espn Team. Won my game convincingly. QB Brees, RB Gore, and WR Chambers leading the way.
Week Result: Win
Even though I dominated, I got some Underacheavers: RBs Jones-Drew and Taylor under achieved; though against a tough running D. RB Brown (Mia) and WR Stallworth didn't even play. WR Galloway is hurt. There's a few holes here. Maybe a trade can help me out. I got good players on the bench available.

Whirlwind Weekend

I had an adventure filled weekend.
Perhaps the biggest shock of the weekend was former UFC Champ. Chuck Liddell getting knocked out by TUF2 Winner Rashad Evans. Liddell was the favorite going in, but now is a loser in 3 of 4 fights. He's 38, and has to change his approach.

The biggest loss of the weekend: Tom Brady. My #1 pick in Fantasy Football goes down with a torn ACL. Out for year. You can't replace your #1 pick. the team is in trouble. Though it is in line to win this week. Luckily, I was able to get Brett Farve as my backup. My other teams did well too.

We had our tailgate party before the 49er game. Rob and Victoria went with me. They had a great time. Rob was a social butterfly. He talked to all of the tailgaters. I think he had a really good time. He was surprised about all our setup. 20 years of tailgating (for me) came out. Getting into the parking lot, Setup, TV, BBQ, parking setup, going into the stadium, then exiting the stadium. He was shocked at my "San Francisco Driving"

I'm glad they had a good time too.

Oh yeah there was 49er game, which was good 1st half, but poor 2nd half. But there are alot of positives to take out of this game. The offense looks better than last year. The Defense looked good in the first ,but poor in the 2nd; deflated by a very questionable roughing-the-passer penalty.

Everyone thinks its done, but it's only week 1. and there was improvement. so I'll go with the positives and fix the negatives.

As long as there is improvement it will be good.
