Time for Soccer! 1st Game Back.

Friday I made my re-debut. Repackaged. Rededicated. I was ready for my first soccer game in some 13 years.

I arrived at the arena ready to go. I was told we were short a few people too. So I was told to get ready to play. I ran out to the field ready to go.I looked at a few jerseys but I wasn't happy until I picked up #12. I thought... "Patrick Marleau. Sounds good enough." I warmed up with the team and took a few shots.

I think I did pretty good. I mean I scored 3 goals! Unbelievable. I don't know why or how but I was on FIRE!!! The first and 3rd goals I scored were crosses. Somehow, I was maneuvered around to the Left Wing. I "drove the net" and the passes were there for me to capitalize on. The 2nd goal was a "out-work" goal. The opposing team's defenseman said "here goalie" and passed it back to him. Well I was already headed to the net. So I ran to the ball, sidestepped and stole the ball from the defense-woman, and softly tipped the ball past the goalie into the short-side corner of the net. Like I said, Outwork the other team. Pay attention to the little details.

With every high is a low. 2nd half of the game. I was gased. I was going to do a kick in from the side. and I misfired. I'm already on the side, and I kicked it into the opponents bench. I was embarressed. I'll rack it up to excitement and exhaustion. To make matters worse, the other team kicked in and immeadiately went down and scored. Now my stupidity led to a goal. I'm going to have to work on this.

By the end of the game, my legs were tired. sometime between the 30-40 minute mark I was tired. my legs couldn't move. I couldn't maneuver. And I had to get to the end at 50 minutes. The first 20 minutes I was fine. I rotated in and out with the bench as well.

OK. Here's the truth about the game. Before the game started the Referee came over and told us that the other team was not ready by Start Time. That means they forfeit the game. This was now a scrimmage. So all those goals I scored... they don't actually count. But I think it was good for me to gauge exactly where I am in my training.

I'm going to have to work on my stamina. Keep running for me. Also I need to work on passes. and shots. I'm going to need someone to help me with that. If it's a 50 minute game. I need to be able to maneuver for at least 40 minutes. That's my goal. Run and stop for 40 minutes. I figure at least 10 minutes will be used on the bench. I want to be able to give 100% during the first 20, and last 20.

But in the end: 3 goals. Not to bad. First time in 13 years. And after thinking of it, that's the first time I scored a multi-goal game. And dad said he doesn't remember me scoring 3 goals in my career. So I hope I made a good impression on my teammates. And I hope that they'll let me play next week.

Fantasy Football Week 7 Dust

Week 7 was disappointing for me. People underachieved. People got hurt. People aren't playing.

Skrulls: Lost 95-91. Severely disappointed that Farve didn't dismantle the Raider defense. I got 2 whopping points from him. Bench: Philip Rivers had 11. he would have one my game. Bench Dominc Roades had 23 points. Mcdaniels and Jacobs had 18 pts each. Grame Welkens and Jackson all had over 10 pts.
Suckers: Farve (5) and Jennings (3).
Upcoming: Only Jennings is on Bye. So WR replacement is Toomer. Also Parker is still hurt, but might be back. Who plays for D? Phily vs ATL, or HOU vs Cin? Cin is winless, and Phily is good. arg decisions decisions.

WWE Team: "Worlds Strongest" won 62-53. GUESS WHAT? I'M IN FIRST PLACE! I'm in a 6 way tie for 1st. each 4-3, but I have the most points! But this team is going to struggle for awhile. I'm not happy with what has happened.:
Impact Players: Mason had 10 pts. That's my leading scorer. 2 guys on the bench did better.
Suckers: Brees (8), Johnson (7), Bush (5) and got hurt, Tomlinson (5), Clark (4).
Everyone frickin underacheived. How disappointing. and somehow I pulled out a win.
Upcoming: RB Grant is on Bye. but I haven't played him all year. he had his 1st 100yd game last week. I'm not worried about him. But Bush is out 3-4 weeks with knee injury. I got McAllister to step in. and hopefully he performs. Also I hope Boldin returns and solidifies my WRs.

Cheltenham Entertainment (ESPN): Lost 72-86; I can't beat Eric this year. up and down year. now I'm 3rd. I can't believe this I should be so much better. Luck of the draw I guess.
Impact: Forte, Jackson, Ravens, Lindell all gove over 10 pts, but not over13.
Suckers: Gore, Brown, Toomer, Witten. I'll throw in Brees too, he didn't have any TDs.
I had 4 guys on the bench, and 2 guys hurt. I'm in a great situation here (sarcasm)
Upcoming: I have to make some moves to get rid of the injured players. Stokely. Also my Kicker is on Bye so I need him gone too. Next week looks really good. Lots of good potential, better than this week. Playoffs are coming soon. Help me Fantasy one Help me!F

Fantasy Football Week 6

I thought I had a pretty good week this week. All my teams scored over 100 pts.

Skrulls: Kickers R Us: Jason Elam had a big day (19pts) including the game winner in his team. However this is the team that lost. 126-112. Monday Night Football had Braylon Edwards (CLE) going BIG and putting my opponent over the top. I am stuck in mediocraty. 4-2, 4th place. 2nd most points this week, but vs 1st most points this week. arg.
Big Players: Elam, Vincent Jackson (19 pts), Philly D (vs 49ers lol, 16 pts), Jennings Jacobs and Graham all over 10 pts.
Small Players: Farve had a bad game, 1 td, 2 ints. arg.
I also made a trade coming out of this week. O'Sullivan and Lynch are gone, in are Thomas Jones (RB) and Philip Rivers (QB). This will take over for Farve. Lynch has had a so-so year. Jones will take his spot, but I have plenty of RBs ready to take the spotlight away. hopefully Willie Parker will be ready to go for week 7
Week 7 will have this major trade, though Farve vs Raiders. hahahah poor raiders... Phily on Bye.

WWE Team (Shaman of Sexay; John Morrison): More kickers. Joe Nedney kicked alot of field goals. Destroyed the opponent 146-46. 3-3, 4th place.
Big Players: Brees (3tds, 300+ yrds, 31.50 pts) Buckhalter vs 49ers (19.55 pts), Nedney (16 pts). Also Bush, Andre Johnson, Breaston (in place of Boldin) were over 10pts
Small Players: Issac bruce (1.4) and Dallas Clark (0.85).
Going into Week 7, I need a Defense. Greenbay, vs Indy, is not a good choice. I have a few players on byes, but I'll cover for them from the bench. not a problem.

ESPN: Cheltenham Entertainment: 102-62, victory! 4-2, 2nd place in division, 3rd overall. I really should be top dog though.
Big Players: Brees (again) Phily D (Again), Gore, Forte, and Brown all over 10 Pts.
Small Players: Armoni Toomer with a big fat 0. wazupwitdat?
Week 7. The bye week is upon us, and there are some injuries. Stokley, who i picked up as a bye replacement is injured. and I need a WR, since Toomer stinks. Also need to think of a QB for week 9 due to byes. I'm going to work on a trade.

Thats all for now.

Fantasy Football Week 5

Week 5 was disappointing. I could have one if I had other players in. But I didn't and I hurt from it.

Skrulls: Won 81-71. Not a good performance either, though a win is a win. I like to score 90-100 pts a week. Brandon Jacobs had it big, 2 TDs. Farve is on Bye, so I started Garred. not a bad start, getting 15 pts. Lynch blew it, scoring 5 of projected 14 pts.
Next week, Lynch and Parker (hurt) are on byes. and TE Sheffler is out with injury. I brought in TE Daniels, and RB Graham to take over. Hopefully Parker is back after his bye week.

WWE Team: With Boldin out, I had to go with Steve Breasten or Lance moore. I went with Breasten because he was playing for Boldin, and Warner is on FIRE. Unfortuneately the team didn't do to well. Brees had 2 ints. and the GreenBay Defence dropped the ball hardcore (only 2pts) Bush stepped up with 2 return TDs. otherwise dismal.
I had Issac Bruce (2 TDs) but didn't play him.
Oh yeah, I list 97-79. Worst showing of the season so far.
Week 6, only 1 bye player, and he's a kicker. he might be gone anyways.

ESPN Cheltenham Entertainment: I matched up with the undefeated 1st place team. And I lost 94-90. ARG. I should have had this one. we went down to Monday Night's game. His Defence pulled it out and won it. For me, Fred Taylor scored a whooping 1 pt. Drew Jones hit paydirt. that would have one me the game. It's hard having both players. I think I'm going to drop Taylor so I don't have this problem. All of the sudden Phily Defence sucks. but 49ers are coming up so that's good for them.
Week 6, More injuries. Chambers is hurt. But Ronnie Brown is back from his bye. I still feel comfortable with the players that I have on the bench. Only issue is the bye week for the kicker. I'm not sure what to do just yet. I think I have to replace my current kicker though. instead of holding 2.

Fantasy Football Week 4

(I'm doing reviews 2 weeks later because I don't want to give away my secrets the week of. sorry if you're reading this. but i'm not going to give away my strategy)

So on Week 4: This is the first official bye week.

Guess who saves my bacon? Brett Farve. Throws 6 Touchdowns. Practically single-handedly, wins my game. Skrulls went nuts. 108 to 59. I had 2 players on Byes, including started Brandon Jacobs. but I was able to work around it.

WWE Team: won 107.22 - 100.29; LT had one if his better games. Brees has been steady for me. I had 2 on byes, but they are backups. so no problem here. Still trying to figure out what to do on Week 9. It's a major Bye week. for all my teams.

ESPN Cheltenham Entertainment: Can I sweep all 3 games with wins? SURE! Brees and Gore were studs on this team.

What is ahead. Week 5; juggling more byes. looking for a backup QB for the byes. What to do when your kicker and defense are on byes the same week.
