I could have swept all 3 leagues this year, but I only won 2 of them. (oh woe is me) But I can't believe I pulled it off.
The one league I was supposed to win, I got 4th place. I can't believe it. My league with Matt and Don put me in 4th place! I had the most points by far, and I couldn't win a playoff game.
The Public League with all the STR trash talkers went off without a hitch. They talked trash to me, then they couldn't back it up. "I hate people who talk all that (stuff) and can't back it up" - Rich Clementi
The ESPN league with Spencer I landed in 4th place in the regular season, and beat the #1 team when it counted. and then I won over the 3rd place team to win the championship! Whew.
My best players this year were Drew Brees and Philip Rivers. My disappointing player was LaDanian Tomlinson, who had a worse year in a while. Injuries got me too, Tom Brady. But I was able to trade for Rivers, Thomas Jones for Marshawn Lynch and Philip Rivers. That trade changed the landscape of the league. I had a #1 QB and rode him to the top.
Now to enjoy my offseason as a dual winner of Fantasy Football.

Soccer Win; first "official" goal of the year.
Today we got back into the win column. We've been struggling with people missing and injuries. Luckily some friends came out and played with us.
Somehow the play of the game was my goal. Our goalie, Raul, threw this perfect pass to me. I trapped it with my knee, pushing it past the Defense. it's one-on-one with the goalie... Pick a corner, shoot, GOOOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLL!!!!!!! I let out a yell of happiness. Candice was running up and gave me a great high-5. I pointed at Victoria and blew her a kiss :) she was up clapping.
Now this goal may have been the game winner. I don't remember the score was when I scored, but we won 5-3. It is possible I scored the game winner. I think we only scored one more goal afterwards.
What surprised me was that everyone thought that it was a great goal. There are definitely a lot better players out there tonight. And they all came up to me and told me what a great goal it was. Nah, I needed to finish it for the team. I'm sure it was a great highlight reel goal.
But remember, every goal requires a great assist. So give it up to Raul for throwing a great pass up to me. And Dad for reminding me, it's just a pass to the back of the net.
All in all, back in the win column. bring it on to the next game which won't happen till next year. 2 weeks off. it'll be tough to stay in shape but i'll be good to go.
